Community features: library, fitness and aquatics center, parking for residents and guests, wooded walking paths, croquet court, putting green, craft studio, woodworking shop, computer center, billiards and bumper pool, onsite general store, salon, bank and florist. Carleton-Willard's renowned Learning in Retirement program offers a packed schedule of concerts, lectures, movies, classes, and activities. You will meet some of the most talented musicians, artists and authors in the country, right here at the Village. There are also numerous group excursions to many of Boston's best museums, historical sites, theaters and concert halls. At Llewsac Lodge, home of the Village's Assistance in Living program, our interdisciplinary care team works in partnership with Residents and families, encouraging each individual to make his or her own lifestyle choices. The lounges on each floor invite neighbors to socialize or prepare a snack, while the indoor walkway affords easy access to the Village Center. Our onsite Village Clinic provides routine medical care as well as dentistry, ophthalmology, podiatry and rehabilitation services. Carleton-Willard's Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides an innovative and multifaceted program, offering compassionate comfort and support to Residents and their families. Our bright and beautiful common areas are perfect for group activities and visits with friends. The Center also welcomes rehabilitation and short term stays. Our specialized staff offers physical, speech, and occupational therapies, wound and IV care, and much more. The Ross-Worthen Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia has a specially trained staff with a focus on habilitation, creating a caring, failure-free environment that emphasizes what a person can do, rather than dwelling on abilities lost. Programs provide a structured daily routine of support and encouragement while enhancing cognitive abilities and maintaining self-esteem and dignity.
